"Stake" Out Cancer
The Northeast Kingdom Snow Blasters: Turning Trails into Hope
Honoring Lives and Supporting the Fight Against Cancer
In Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, snowmobiling isn’t just a pastime — it’s a community lifeline. The Northeast Kingdom Snow Blasters have long been known for maintaining beautiful trails and bringing people together, but their compassion shines brightest through their “Stakeout Cancer” campaign.
A Community with Heart
For years, the Snow Blasters have been synonymous with neighborly goodwill and have always believed in helping where it’s needed most. A few years ago, that spirit of giving took on a new meaning when they launched Stakeout Cancer — a grassroots effort to honor, remember, and support those affected by cancer.
Pink Path Way: A Trail of Remembrance
The entranceway has been christened “Pink Path Way,” a symbolic new beginning and a living tribute to every person touched by cancer. As snowmobilers and visitors journey along this trail, they encounter a field of pink—each stake a story, each name a memory, each message a testament to love, loss, and hope.
This initiative is more than a fundraising campaign; it is a space for reflection and recognition. The Pink Path Way invites everyone to pause and consider the wide-reaching effects of cancer, and to honor the courage of those who have fought, survived, or been lost to the disease.
Trails Painted with Purpose
This year, the Snow Blasters went even further — painting all trail stakes pink across their system. The result is a breathtaking symbol of unity: a web of winter trails weaves through the woods and fields glowing with compassion, reminding everyone that no one faces cancer alone.
All proceeds from the campaign are directed to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly to supporting research, patient services, and programs that make a real difference in people’s lives.
